The Daily Sherwood

           I've wanted to write a piece on cybering for a long time now, even dating back to the first Daily_Sherwood. I started playing with the idea a few weeks ago and decided to see what I could find. Lucky for me, and you, there was a sufficient amount of cybering to go around. So below is the result of my few days of gathering information under a number of aliases.

           When I started this story I quickly found a cesspool of cyber fun in room 88 Emerald, which was at the time the ER (Emerald Raiders) clan room. I captured numerous pictures of the idiocy that was happening. Have a look (at your own risk). Satrical commentary by Lance.

No sarcastic comment, this is just retarded

           Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the pictures of the people involved in the act. Most of them are well known around the Sherwood community, and are well respected. Even people from big-name clans such as ER, KO, and IT (The last one is used with sarcasm). I'm certain these people won't be proud of themselves upon finding this article, and of course, I don't expect them to. For the article's sake, I am vindicating certain individuals.

           The second part of the article focus's on an event I witnessed in room 5 Sapphire. At first it appeared to be your normal cybering encounter (especially the name "HottyMcHotHot"), but this encounter went beyond just the use of sexual language into a supposed relationship, and of course, the exchange of phone numbers. This is perhaps the first time I actually had pity for two cyberers, the exchange of phone numbers in the attempt to begin a real life relationship goes beyond sad, it descends to pathetic.

           And so, we come to the end of this satirical article. This article by no means explores cybering fully, nor do I claim it does. It is simply a look at some of the cybering that takes place on Sherwood on a daily basis. Cybering is defiantly a problem we don't acknowledge. Not to mention Gene's more than lax enforcement of the rules (which clearly forbid chat of a sexual nature). And for that reason I will be emailing a Gene a copy of this article.
